Great Britain to grant 85 million lei to Moldova for paying compensations to vulnerable families

The British Department for International Development will give a grant to Moldova in the amount of 4.5 million pound sterling (85 million lei) for compensating the difference between the previous and present tariffs on public utilities for the vulnerable sections of the population.

Three taxi companies will have parking places at Chisinau airport

Three of the five taxi companies that offered to provide services on the territory of the Chisinau International Airport will sign cooperation agreements with the airport. The results of the tender contest were announced on Wednesday.

Competition on Chisinau-Bucharest air line

The Air Moldova national operator declared on Friday that from March 28 it will make a flight from Chisinau to Bucharest every day.

Parliament cuts national energy regulator's budget

The Parliament approved the budget of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) for 2010. It will be 16.3 million lei, as against 17.8 million lei planned initially.

European Commission and Great Britain to grant money to Moldova for paying out compensations

The Moldovan Government will receive 2,4 million Euros from the European Commission and 4.5 million pound sterling from the Foreign Affairs Department of Great Britain.

Minimum guaranteed salary raised

The Government increased the minimum guaranteed monthly salary in economy from 900 lei to 1,100 lei or 6.51 lei/hour. It is calculated for a full working program - 169 hours on average a month, regardless of the pattern of ownership and legal organizational form of the companies.

Moldova will purchase electricity from Cuchurgan power plant at lower price

The private electric power distribution company RED Union Fenosa and the state-run companies RED Nord and RED Nord-Vest during the next year will buy electricity from the Transnistrian Cuchurgan power plant for 5.5 cents per kWt/h, as against 5.8 cents kWt/h at present.

What is the Price of Cheap Electricity Produced by Cuciurgan Power Plant?

Cuciurgan power plant will deliver, with effect from March 1, electrical power to the distribution networks on the right bank of Nistru River, at a price of 5.5 cents per kWh, compared to 5.8 cents kWh paid until now.
