Chisinau, February 2 ( INFOTAG ). That was how Valeriu Cosarciuc, a member of the Moldovan parliamentary delegation to the PACE, perceived the Communists' and Christian Democrats' absence from the PACE Session on January 26-30.

Cosarciuc told a briefing here on Monday that he had sent to the PACE, well in advance, a detailed information on the situation in Moldova. However, its discussion failed to take place in the absence of the Moldovan delegation. He has no doubt the MCP and CDPP deputies did not go to the PACE Session deliberately.

Seeing this, he sent reports on the situation in Moldova to the Council of Europe Monitoring Committee, CE Rapporteurs on Moldova, and other CE officials.

He told the briefing that high-ranked Council of Europe officials would pay visits to Chisinau in February.
