According to a communiqué from the Embassy of Romania in Moldova, quoted by Info-Prim Neo, Romania shares the special interest of the Polish presidency in the neighborhood of the EU.

"We anticipate a Summit of the Eastern Partnership aimed at achieving results, which will decisively contribute to building an ambitious approach as regards the EU's eastern neighborhood. Such an approach is in agreement with Poland's and Romania's stance that the countries that are ready and able to make progress in implementing reforms, like Moldova, must enjoy clear prospects," said Teodor Baconschi.

He stressed that such an approach is needed for supporting the promotion of the European democratic and pluralistic values and for strengthening security in Europe and extending and diversifying the economic relations.
