2009-04-17/15:29/ Chisinau (IPN) "What happened in our close neighbor, in Moldova, is unfortunately an example of how events can develop in an absolutely unconstitutional way. The footage we saw looked monstrous, when there were attempts to hang flags of another country on the main state buildings, the symbols of a state," Medvedev said.
"I understand the people may be unhappy with the election results, I understand the opposition demands the authorities to take certain actions, albeit recounting the votes. But all that should be done within the legal boundaries," he said.
"Such civil activity should be held within the legal framework and not in the way of the so-called color revolutions, which bring nothing but poverty and problems with human rights," Medvedev said.
The interview will be broadcast Sunday on Russia's NTV channel, at 7 p.m., Moscow time.
