Chisinau, June 15 ( INFOTAG ). At its last plenary sitting held on Monday morning, the Communist majority passed the above-mentioned amendments in the second, final reading. This work done, President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin, who was elected also as Speaker of Parliament a month ago, stood up and left the room, without even saying goodbye or anything to the forum. The rest 58 members of the majority Communist faction followed their leader in silence, without caring to hear the opposition's remarks after passing such fundamental changes into the electoral legislation.

The 59th member of the MCP faction, First Deputy Chairman of parliament Vladimir Turcan, remained in the room only for closing the plenary sitting, announcing it was the last one in the short life of this forum.

It is expected that already in the nearest hours Vladimir Voronin will make public a presidential decree on parliament dissolution and on appointing a date for an early election. By law, an early election must take place within maximum 45 days from the presidential decree's coming into force.

Chisinau, June 15 ( INFOTAG ). First Deputy Chairman of the Moldovan Parliament Vladimir Turcan stated to the press after the plenary sitting that the early parliamentary elections may be held at the end of next month - most probably on July 26.

"This date is in harmony with the legislation, which says that elections must be held within maximum 45 days from the presidential decree's coming into effect. It's up to the head of state to decide when the decree should come out. But I think he will do it promptly. The opposition wanted these elections, so they will be held within a shortest-possible time. Situation in the republic does not permit our wasting time", stressed Vladimir Turcan.
