Igor Dodon: Talks on terms of Russia`s credit will finish in July

The talks on the signing of a credit agreement for US$500 will be finished in June, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Trade Igor Dodon, who suspended his activities on his post for the time of the election campaign as a Communist Candidate, said at a news conference on Monday.

Chisinau, July 6 ( INFOTAG ). He remarked that the talks on this loan began last week and on the level of the Ministries of Finance of Russia and Moldova.

"According to the preliminary consent, the grace on the credit will be 15 years", - Dodon said.

In his words, the annual interest rate on the credit have not been discussed for the time being, but there are all grounds to think that it will be favorable for Moldova.

As Infotag has already reported, the decision on granting a credit in the amount of US$500 million was taken in the course a meeting between Vladimir Voronin and Russian Premiere Vladimir Putin in Moscow on June 22.

Last Friday the Russian Duma approved the granting of this credit to Moldova. In Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin's words, these financial resources will be used for the reconstruction of roads and the construction of the Soroca-Balti water system.
