Chisinau, July 13 ( INFOTAG ).  The republican council of the political entity took such decision unanimously for his actions, which were incompatible with the Party discipline principles.

Petrache resigned from the CUM Chairman Post at the end of September 2008. That time he ceded this post to ex-Premier Vasile Tarlev and became his deputy. Despite all the expectation the ex-Premier failed to help the Party to obtain seats in the Parliament at the elections on April 5.

According to sources in the CUM, during the last months the relations between Petrache and Tarlev were spoiled, in particular, after the CUM decided to participate in the early parliamentary elections, which will take place on July 29, on the basis of a single slate with the Social Democratic Party of Moldova (SDPM). These two entities must merge afterwards.

The sources assert that Vasile Tarlev decided to defend himself from Petrache's possible statement on behalf of the CUM to support other election competitors, in particular, the Democratic Party, headed by Marian Lupu, but not Dumitru Braghis's party.
