
According to a press release of the Chisinau Office of the Council of Europe, the two officials of the Venice Commission will stay in Chisinau on February 9 and 10.
The two officials of the Commission will focus on procedural aspects of the constitution reform to be promoted by Mihai Ghimpu.
Buquicchio and Markert will meet with officials of Chisinau, as well as with parliamentary group leaders.
After the visit of the two Venice Commission officials, a mission of a work group will come to Chisinau in the period between February 24 and 26, in order to discuss the draft Constitution with the Constitutional Court, the quoted source specifies.
Established in 1990, the Venice Commission (European Commission for Democracy through Law), is the Council of Europe's advisory body on constitutional matters. It currently has 56 full member states, including Republic of Moldova.
