According to Igor Cutie, the reorganization of the 22nd Battalion will consist of three stages. The battalion will be primarily reorganized and supplied with contract-based servicemen. During the second stage, the personnel will be trained. The final stage will deal with the development and maintenance of the battalion's operational capabilities.

„The Chief of the Land Forces Command pointed out the fact that, at the end of the reorganization process of the above-mentioned Battalion, the National Army will get a force always ready to interfere, trained in compliance with Western requirements contributing to different peacekeeping missions", Cutie specified.

The Chief of Personnel Directorate, Colonel Eduard Ohladciuc, stated 350 jobs had been provided for the supply of the battalion with contract-based servicemen. Persons to join the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion will sign a three- or five-term agreement with the possibility to be renewed. They will be admitted to civil and military institutions of higher education. They will also have the possibility to attend free foreign language courses (English, German, French). Free medical assistance and treatment are insured for their family members. They will also get a monthly salary over 2300 MDL, a guaranteed retirement payment after 20 years of work experience and free training in different civilian areas, as well as post-career assistance.
