MCP stands for demilitarization and neutrality of Moldova

INFOTAG, 6 February 2009, 18:15

Chisinau, February 6 ( INFOTAG ). According to the platform, the Communists "are working to safeguard peace in the region". They view the country's security and civil unity in "resolving the Transnistria problem on the basis of Moldova's territorial integrity and through providing a legal status to Transnistria".

The platform underscores the need for providing "an active social support to the populace of Transnistria and its integration into the democratic field of Moldova".

The Communists have set themselves a goal "to ensure and preserve the ethnic-cultural diversity of the country", "consolidation of the multi-ethnic people of Moldova on the basis of democratic development, irreversibility of the course for European integration, and formation of a united all-nation perspective".

In the social field, the MCP is promising to raise the average monthly pay size in Moldova up to 500 euros, to build up pensions till the subsistence level, and to strengthen the public health system.

In the economic field, the Communist Party is projecting to double the State Budget size, to increase investment in the national economy 6-fold, and to create new economy sectors that would permit to effectively develop the country's economic potential.

The Communist Party has set itself an objective to achieve a high-quality level of relations between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, and to actively attract European projects into the republic.
