Termocom Board elects its chairman
Sergiu Palihovici was named at chairman of the Board by a unanimous vote, while Svetlana Berzoi became the head of the Censors Commission.
Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said the director general of the water supplier was not elected because the issue had not been included in the agenda of today's meeting. "The election will take place at the next meeting, in several days," he said.
Ten candidates applied for the post of Termocom director, both from inside and outside the company. The mayor avoided saying who these persons are. "When things become clearer we will reveal names," he stressed.
Termocom administrator Dionisie Antocel cannot apply for the post of director general. Dorin Chirtoaca said the posts of administrator and director have been merged because when the company is in the insolvency period it is managed by an insolvency supervisor. On November 3, 2009, Termocom SA stopped being insolvent. Dionisie Antocel's term in office expires on February 2, 2012.
The Board was voted in at the company's extraordinary general assembly on July 7. It consists of Corneliu Pantea, Tudor Cernenco, Veronica Herta, Emil Gutu, Pavel Caba, Serghei Ciaus, and Sergiu Palihovici. Aliona Botezat, Svetlana Berzoi and Sofia Jivoglead are members of the Censors Commission.
