French investors are new leading staff of FIA

Frederic Aubet, chief of moldovan-french company „Lafarge Ciment Moldova” is the new president of the Association of Foreign Investors of Moldova (FIA).

The decision was taken after the FIA General Meeting and FIA Board of Directors Meeting, held on June 25 and July 15, 2010.

Aubet was promoted from deputy chairperson to chairperson of FIA and replaced Joachim Schreiber, chairman of Tirex Petrol Council. Schreiber was elected by the FIA Board Members as Honorary President of FIA.

During the meeting, Alexander Koss, spokesperson of „Suedzucker Moldova" administration was elected deputy chairperson of FIA.

The Foreign Investors Association includes the most important foreign investors of Republic of Moldova. It was founded by 8 foreign investors with support from Investment Compact for South-East Europe (OECD) on September, 22, 2003 in Chisinau. FIA currently has 18 members from 10 countries, whose total investments in Moldova exceed 800 milion USD or more than 50% of the total amount of direct foreign investments. FIA members employ around 14,000 people throughout the country.
