20 parties have registered in the current election campaign. Many people say it is a too big number for such a small country as Moldova. At the same time, much more parties could take part in the election campaign.
Number of foreign-capital enterprises in Moldova grows

SCR representative Vitalie Paleca said the number of enterprises with foreign capital grows thanks to market liberalization and to financial crisis decreasing. He said only in 2010 registered enterprises have invested in authorized capital over 12.24 million lei; investments come from over 40 countries. For example, investment in hotels and restaurants from Virgin Islands exceeded 3.35 million lei, investment in medicine and commerce from Russia - 3.27 million lei.
According to Paleca, 3.3 thousand enterprises were registered from the beginning of 2010, which is by 600 less against analogous period of 2009. The maximum established enterprises work in trade, transports, construction, medicine, hotel and restaurant business.
The SRC representative said only 60 companies stopped their activities in comparison to 90 in the past year. 120 enterprises, which have suspended their activities because of crisis, have restarted their functioning.
Paleca said the chamber has registered in 2010 about 10 companies from Transnistria. Over 30 economic agents were registered for importing goods in the territory of Moldova.
