Moldova will have clear visa regime liberalization prospects in October

“There are chances for Moldova in October to receive a road map from the EU that will open clear prospects on the visa regime liberalization,” Prime Minister Vlad Filat said in a meeting with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.

The two officials on Thursday evening had a working dinner in Greece, where the Moldovan Premier is vacationing with his family.

According to a communiqué from the Government, Vlad Filat said Moldova goes through an broad process whose final aim is for Moldova to join the EU. He stressed in this connection that in September Moldova will be visited by two groups of European experts.

The Premier thanked the Polish authorities for the constant support provided to the Moldovan authorities, underlining that Moldova considers Poland a true and reliable friend.

According to the communiqué, Radoslaw Sikorski approved of the democratic changes taking place in Moldova and reiterated that his country will continue to assist Moldova in achieving its European integration objective.
