Bus fares to be reduced 10%

The tariffs for bus passenger transportations on interurban and suburban routes will be lowered by 10% from February 16. The Transport Agency has taken a respective decision.

Chisinau, February 12 ( INFOTAG ). The tariff decrease is dictated by the decrease of prices on fuel in order to bring the tariffs in line with the real situation at the motor transportation market.

The bus tariff for interurban and suburban routes will constitute 0.36 lei/km in hard-seated buses against 0.4 lei/km and 0.38 lei/km in soft-seated buses against 0.42 lei/km.

For the last time the tariff were reconsidered at the beginning of 2008. That time the bus tariffs on interurban and suburban routes were raised by 1/3 from April 1.
