"We held a short discussion within the framework of the football match. We talked about football and exchanged few opinions regarding the actions that should be taken to consolidate trust between the groups involved at the moment", Prime Minister said.

Filat said it was important that he had managed to go to Tiraspol after such a long period of time noting that it was the result of measures taken by the Government.

"We've demonstrated very clearly that we want reintegration of the country to be between people and we've reached the situation when we can at least talk even if our discussions firstly concerned sport and some general problems", Filat said.

Filat added that good conditions had been provided to watch this match.

Prime Minister was accompanied by the Reintegration Deputy Prime Minister Victor Osipov. Vlad Filat watched the match together with the Moldovan Football Federation President Pavel Ciobanu and the Olympic Committee President Nicolae Juravschi, according to the Government's press release.

The agreement about the visit to Tiraspol was reached during the telephone talk between Vlad Filat and Igor Smirnov. The same source reports that the parties agreed during their talks that political representatives are to identify new solutions to increase effectiveness of export mechanisms for economic agents from the Eastern regions of Moldova. Presentation of the whole Sheriff Sport Complex was also organized for Prime Minister Filat, according to the Government's press service.

As it was reported earlier, on December 2, 2009, the Tiraspol administration refused Filat to have access to the Sheriff-Steaua Bucuresti football match motivating it by the lack of coordination regarding this visit.
