20 parties have registered in the current election campaign. Many people say it is a too big number for such a small country as Moldova. At the same time, much more parties could take part in the election campaign.

Transnistrian militiamen inspect Romanian language school in Corjova

A group of Transnistrian militiamen have examined the Corjova-based Romanian-language school "Mihai Eminescu" this morning on the pretext that there had been a bomb threat, Ion Manole, the head of the NGO "Promo-Lex", has told Info-Prim Neo.

The incident happened at about 5am. One hour later, the high school experienced a power outage. Before the September 1 festivity, the power supply was restored, but the local authorities and the administration of the school were banned from hoisting Moldova's flag.

"This shows the current format of the peacekeeping force that is to ensure security in the area, which includes Corjova too, is inefficient and should be replaced by an internationally-mandated civil mission," Ion Manole said.

The mayor of Corjova could not be found for comment.
