Еhe statement was made by Chairperson of the Transnistrian supreme soviet (SS) Anatoly Kaminsky on Thursday during presentation of results of his visit Moscow.

He together with Head of the Transnistrian central bank Oxana Ionova conducted series of meetings with representatives of the RF Government and the Security Council.

According to speaker, the humanitarian assistance was stopped because the Russian part "has some questions concerning the transparency of the distribution of financial aid that came to the republic in 2006 during blockade measure times".

"During visits in Moscow, there were handed to Russian representatives full reports of the humanitarian programs' realization, decision of the SS and information on controlling measures took towards the Parliament and the TMR Chamber of Accounts. We agreed there will be scheduled another additional inspection - or audit, or common by the RF and TMR chambers of accounts. It will also analyze the humanitarian aid distribution system", Kamisky said.

According to him there were also conducted several meetings with representatives of the GosDuma [State Duma] and the United Russia party.

Infotag's dossier: The Russian humanitarian project is executed in Transnistria the 3rd year running. The first project realization started in the end of 2007 in response to the Transnistrian supreme soviet's request to the Russian State Duma. At the instance of the SS, the Russian Government quarterly transferred to Transnistria US$6-9 million for paying additional pensions (US$15 per month per each pension) and for improving catering in medical, educational and social institutions. The region received about US$62 million at aggregate from that moment. But, the last tranche did not come because of Moscow's suspicions on "machinations with means provided by Russia in the capacity of a support". In spite of this, Transnistrian authorities continue paying additional benefits to pensioners. The region authorities do not pay Russia for gas the 3rd year running by using consumer payments for covering the budget deficit. In the issue, Transnistria has the US$2.5 billion debt for Ru ssian gas.
