20 parties have registered in the current election campaign. Many people say it is a too big number for such a small country as Moldova. At the same time, much more parties could take part in the election campaign.

Election application deadline expiring today

Political parties and independent aspirants, wishing to get registered as candidates for the April 5 parliamentary elections, can do it only before 4pm local time on Thursday, when the deadline will expire.

Chisinau, March 5 ( INFOTAG ). On Wednesday, the CEC accepted applications, signature rolls and other necessary documents from another three applicants - independent Oleg Bolotnikov, the Republican Party, and independent Tatiana Timbalist. If their documents are approved without problems within subsequent 7 calendar days, they will be put on the list of candidates in ballot-papers under the numbers of 18, 19, and 20.

To date, the CEC has already registered 17 candidates for parliament.
