20 parties have registered in the current election campaign. Many people say it is a too big number for such a small country as Moldova. At the same time, much more parties could take part in the election campaign.

Eugen Baleca changes his mind to voluntarily leave post of FRANZELUTA director

The Director of baking enterprise Franzeluta - Eugen Baleca - intends to appeal for the second time against the enterprise's administrative board decision on his dismissal. Similarly, he appealed against the 1st decision and won the case in June.

In an interview, Baleca said the decision adopted by the administrative board (AB) on Monday evening on his dismissal from post is illegal and groundless.

"The AB has no reasons for my dismissal. And brought accusations of that I allegedly caused a 24-million lei damage are false. I will go to court to protect my rights", Baleca said.

According to him, the appointment of former factory director Victor Cojocaru to be acting Director is "a doubtful case".

"In 2004, when Cojocaru led Franzeluta, enterprise losses were 15 million lei. Moreover, Cojocaru probably is "a Filat's [Prime Minister] man", Baleca said, adding that Cojocaru is godfather of Premier's guard head.

The AB intends to elect a new director of Franzeluta on a competitive basis.

Baleca was fired yet in the middle of June 2011, but the Botanica sector [Chisinau city district] court reinstated him in office. Later on, after many accusations against him, Baleca said he will send in his resignation, as he "is no longer able to stand up to Government pressure on him".
