Moldova's European strivings can be successful only in conditions of political stability - president of Lithuania
According to the presidential press service, Dalia Grybauskaite said Europe is ready to discuss visa regime liberalization, agreement on free trade between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova, but only in case Moldova meets all its commitments and fulfills its 'home task'.
Dalia Grybauskaite reaffirmed that Lithuania is continuing its support for Moldova's Euro-integration efforts. In particular, Lithuanian experts are helping to implement a judiciary reform here, to restructure the Moldovan Customs Service, agriculture, phytosanitary service.
Marian Lupu voiced hope that during the Lithuanian presidency of the OSCE, many problems will be solved by joint effort, in particular the official 5+2 format negotiations will be hopefully re-started.
Consolidation of multifaceted ties between Moldova and Lithuania, development of bilateral economic potential were the subject matter of the conversation the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite had with Moldovan Prime Minister Vladimir Filat.
Filat said Moldova is carrying out profound reforms - "a complicated but necessary process. Lithuania's experience is very important for Moldova, and we count on your assistance in this".
Dalia Grybauskaite said Lithuania had marched its road to the European Union, and now stands ready to share its Euro-integration experience with Moldova.
