New communication platform for Siret-Prut-Nistru euroregion
The Association's coordinator Liviu Andriuta said the major goal of the project is to create a common international space in the euroregion that includes 20 Moldovan districts and three Romanian counties. In the future, all the districts will be outfitted with special equipment for creating regional crossborder and personnel training centers.
The website will furnish information and promote the development of projects aimed at improving living conditions in the area. "There are many projects, but steps should be taken to implement the ideas and raise the necessary financing. Cooperation is needed in order to agree the priorities and obtain financing for the projects taking part in the contest. This system will facilitate this cooperation," said Liviu Andriuta.
The objectives typical of such projects include establishment of effective communication for developing joint programs in a common virtual area and developing euroregion members' abilities to design projects in concert. The most successful projects will be financed by the European Union, said Mihai Roscovan, the head of Business Consulting Institute.
Petru Voloshchuk, the head of Straseni district that is covered by the project, said the website will benefit all the people living in the region and will ensure cooperation between them. The Association's members will discuss the projects that should be implemented.
The Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion Association aims to extend and improve the relations between the communities and local authorities in such areas as economy, education, culture, science and sport.
