20 parties have registered in the current election campaign. Many people say it is a too big number for such a small country as Moldova. At the same time, much more parties could take part in the election campaign.

PCRM calls to "stand up in defense of Motherland".

The July 29 early parliamentary elections will be the nation's "choice between extremists and state-minded forces, between street arbitrariness and the law, between losing the country and its independence", reads the Electoral Declaration issued by the ruling Moldovan Communist Party today.

Chisinau, June 24 ( INFOTAG ). The Communists believe that last April 5 they had won "a convincing victory in an honest, democratic competition".

"But already on April 7, the republic was subjected to a tragic test. Under the pretext of disagreement with election results, the defeated 'liberal' parties provoked civil disturbance in the Chisinau center that gradually developed into acts of vandalism and ruining of official buildings. In subsequent 2 months, the destructive actions by these politicians generated in the Republic of Moldova a dismal atmosphere of anxiety and confrontation, paralyzed the authorities' anti-crisis economic work, upset the election of a new President, and thus provoked an early parliamentary election", the Declaration said.

The MCP leaders presume the opposition needs not the state power as such but a further destabilization of the socio-economic situation and annihilation of the Moldovan statehood.

"You, dear voters, are not dead souls, you are genuine creators, the real backbone of our statehood and our democracy. You demonstrated this during the elections held last April 5. But now, when liberal parties have unfolded a real informational terror against all patriots of Moldova, when they overtly profane all what is sacred to each of us, time has come to unite and offer a worthy rebuff to the opponents to our independence", said the ruling party's Declaration.

Chisinau, June 24 ( INFOTAG ). The Declaration authors presume that the opposition's actions may lead to a "Kosovo variant in Moldova" - to a civil war.

They wrote that if events keep on developing here according to the destabilization scenario worked out by the opposition, Moldova may come to be an uncontrolled territory, where a civil war will be inevitably unleashed.

"They [the opposition] know how to do this job, they are experts in provocations. And all this will suit those whom the Communists currently impede. This will suit international criminal circles - those who are dictating foreign will to Filat, Ghimpu and Urechean: a country without state power is so comfortable for laundering of dirty capitals. This will suit the regime that presently rules in Transnistria, and Tiraspol is waiting for such a present. This will suit the Romania Mare [Great Romania] chauvinists in Bucharest because such a [stateless] territory is easy to include into Romania ", the MCP Declaration said.

The Communist leaders presume "the puppet parties, manipulated from abroad, are attacking not the MCP - they are aiming at our Motherland. They call themselves enemy to Communists, but each their blow hits the country, Moldova, hits the people, the elderly, women, children - those whom they once forced into streets and whom they are preparing to bring into the central square again".

The Communist Party appealed to all citizens who value a peaceful, quiet living to "stand up in defense of your Motherland".
