Chisinau residents can check on-line if they are on voters lists

The Chisinau city hall launches an on-line service allowing to check if one is on the voters lists in the wake of the upcoming elections.

2009-07-07/10:43/ Chisinau (IPN) Citizens just have to click on “Verifică lista electorală!” section on the city hall's web site: They have to enter some personal data for this purpose, as their ID card number.

If a person has changed residence or document data, he or she can fill in a blank asking to update the information. The modifications will be operated within 2 days, reads a press release by the city hall.

Voters can also find the address of their polling stations.

The data may be verified and modified till July 24. After July 14, the voters can check the voters lists in their constituencies and city district offices.

The project is carried out by the Chisinau city hall, it s Centru district office, with the support of the Soros Foundation-Moldova.
