Chisinau, July 24 ( INFOTAG ). Head of the all-republican MNA youth organization Sergiu Baltaga stated at a news conference today the true reason(s) of the detention are unknown, though he believes the police must have known for sure that, by law, they have no right to arrest candidates for parliament during an election campaign. Together with Victor, the police detained his brother Artur.

Baltaga said that on July 13 Victor Tipa was attacked and bruised mercilessly by unknown people. As a result, he was hospitalized with a concussion of the brain and with 6 teeth missing. So, for several days he was politically incapable, though did not cease demanding an investigation. Yesterday, Victor came to Chisinau to visit a dentist, and on the way home he was detained.

"Apparently, such was the Communist police's response to our applications", said Baltaga.
