20 parties have registered in the current election campaign. Many people say it is a too big number for such a small country as Moldova. At the same time, much more parties could take part in the election campaign.

Chisinau, July 27 ( INFOTAG ). "For the past years the CIS has passed various periods. These were the disintegration years, which were not simple; these were the years of relations crisis, mistakes and miscalculations. But now all of us, who are CIS members, must make conclusions and learn lessons from our errors", Vladimir Voronin remarked.

In his words, the present-day world gives not only big possibilities, but it is also full of various challenges, which we must be responded.

"These are the world financial and economic crisis, threats for security and restrictions for fundamental freedoms. And all of us got convinced that it is much easier, simpler and efficiently to meet all the challenges together", the President stressed.

In his words, there is only one common and extremely urgent issue on the agenda of all the CIS countries - consolidation of forces for opposing the global economic crisis.

"It is important for us not only to overcome the consequences of this crisis, but also to protect people from its negative influence, to preserve the existing guarantees. It is quite natural that it is much easier for us to achieve positive results in combating the crisis by means of a close cooperation and interaction between all the CIS countries", Vladimir Voronin underlined.

He remarked that in the course of his recent visit to Moscow he discussed these problems, as well as the run-up for the CIS Summit, which will be held in Chisinau in October.

Speaking about the results of his visit, Vladimir Voronin stressed that in the course of their informal meetings the sides succeeded in having discussed and solved a lot of current problems, which sometimes stay outside the frame of the official summits.

He confirmed that in course of his meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev the sides discussed also issues, relating to the implementation of the earlier reached agreements - the resumption of talks on the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict and on Russia's granting of a credit in the amount of US$500 million to Moldova.

"I have already drawn attention to the particularities of this credit. Russia did not put forward any tough conditions, which are characteristic of international financial organizations and I would like to reiterate that it did not demand and does not demand any political price for this support. This is Russia's one-time, but very essential contribution to our national economy", Voronin said.

In his words, the first tranche of this credit in the amount of US$150 million will be released already in August-September; all the financial resources will be used for investments - construction of roads, infrastructure, water supply systems.

He designated Russia's decision on lifting practically all the restrictions from the Moldovan exports as very important.

I consider this decision to be an efficient measure for stimulating our exports under the conditions of the world financial and economic crisis. We reached agreement on the volume increase and the geography expansion of our wine exports to Russia, for which purpose additional checkpoints will be opened on the Russian border. Besides, all the restrictions on the exports of Moldovan cask wine were lifted. All these factors are the most important decisions, which will facilitate the increase in the volume of the Moldovan exports to Russia", Vladimir Voronin underlined.

Chisinau, July 27 ( INFOTAG ). Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin has spoken out for arriving at a political compromise between the political parties after the upcoming early parliamentary elections. On Monday, in his interview for the Interfax Russian news agency he said that the compromise is necessary in order to return the country to a stable and predicted development line.

In his words, those, who organized the political crisis, decided to use all means - pogroms, blocking of the President election, blackmail, unsubstantiated accusation of the authorities, endless election campaign.

"They want to paralyze the country by all means, to transfer the country under the international political protectorate in the hope of its complete disappearance from the world political map. Our opponents behave like a force, which deliberately provokes a serious geopolitical catastrophe. But they are destined to fail", Vladimir Voronin said.

He remarked that separate positive aspects have already been revealed in the course of the present election campaign.

"We see that the voters, including those, who voted for the oppositional parties at the elections of April 5, began understanding the real situation. And they reconsider their position. It makes us revise our plans and the plans of our political opponents. Some of them became speaking more about Moldova, its independence, need for uniting the entire society", the incumbent President said.

He considers that it is already a good prerequisite for searching for a compromise between all the political forces after the completion of the elections.

"Alongside with this, I have already repeatedly reiterated that we call for this compromise irrespective of the number of seats, our party will gain in the next Parliament - 65 or 75. The compromise is needed, in order to solve the problem of the President election. It is necessary for bringing the country back to the orbit of its stable and predicted development", Vladimir Voronin underlined.

He remarked that the voters of all the parties, the entire society are tired of political battles and radical appeals. "If they vote for certain parties, they make this in the hope that the politicians of these partners will lead the country to consensus, but not to new elections. But I am optimistic. The elections will pass and time to collect stones will come. And this is exactly what Moldova needs today", Vladimir Voronin concluded.
