To investigate the most heinous crimes of the twentieth century - genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, the international community has set up ad hoc tribunals such as the International Military Tribunals at Nuremberg and Tokyo, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia. However, genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes remain a grim reality of the world today.

PENSIONERS AND INVALIDS DEMAND FREE PUBLIC TRANSPORT TRAVEL OR RESIGNATION OF MAYOR

On Thursday, more than 100 pensioners and invalids resumed their protest actions demanding free public transport travel in front of the City Hall.

If this demand is not satisfied, they demand the resignation of the Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca. The pensioners were holding posters "We are against Corruption!", "Stop the Genocide of Pensioners", and declaimed "Shame!" Organizer of this protest action Maia Laguta, Head of the Salvgardare Public Association threatened, if the Justice organs do not solve the problems of pensioners and invalids, she will invite inspectors to consider the lawfulness of the municipal authorities' decision on the cancellation of free public transport travel. Pensioners warned that they would continue their protest actions on Friday.
