Deadline for fielding candidates for presidency is December 3

The deadline for putting forward candidates for the post of President of Moldova expires on December 3, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the special commission for organizing the second round of presidential elections.

The commission informs that the candidates can be fielded on November 28, 29, 30 and on December 1 and 2, from 8.00 until 17.00; on December 3, from 8.00 until 24.00, to the address: Chisinau municipality, 162 Stephan the Great Blvd., office 1005.

The commission reminds that the candidates must be older than 40, have lived in Moldova for at least 10 years on a permanent basis and know the official language.

Under the legislation, the candidate for the post of head of state must be supported by at lest 15 MPs.
