To investigate the most heinous crimes of the twentieth century - genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, the international community has set up ad hoc tribunals such as the International Military Tribunals at Nuremberg and Tokyo, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia. However, genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes remain a grim reality of the world today.
Parking garage to be built under Chisinau's Central Market
When discussing the strategy for systematizing the Central Market, the Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca asked municipal officials to pronounce on this proposal that was submitted by an investor. The investor presented already the building project.
The director of the municipal Central Market Ion Stratulat said the strategy envisions the construction of namely a parking garage.
Deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu said the strategy for systematizing the Central Market is being finalized, but more time will be needed if the underground parking garage is to be included in the document. The City Hall will submit the building project to the Chisinau Council for consideration at one of the next meetings.
The Council is to also discuss the relocation of the Central Bus Terminal to the North Bus Station as the Ministry of Transport asked that the bus terminals be moved outside the city. A relevant proposal will be ready in 1-2 months.
