Valeriu Cosarciuc: "Somebody directed carabineers from behind on April 7"
"I'm sure that all the provocations were planned by the Communist government. The order to maltreat the young people on the night of February 8 was given by those who governed then the country - the supreme commander of the armed fores, the former President Voronin as well as Papuc (Gheorghe Papuc - former Minister of the Interior - e.n.) with all his company," Cosarciuc said.
Valeriu Cosarciuc also said that the Presidential Office and the Parliament's building were devastated also by order of the Communist government and the move was aimed at discrediting the political parties who were then in the Opposition.
The Prosecutor General's Office started recently to question the representatives of the former government and the leaders of the then Opposition over the April 2009 events. During the hearings, the representatives of the former government say the April 7 events constituted an attempted coup, while the present governors say the protests were orchestrated by the Communist government.
On February 9, the prosecutors will question the Liberal-Democrat MPs Mihai Godea and Calin Vieru.
