ANRCETI suspends Eventis Mobile's license
The company provided GSM mobile phone services on the 900/1800MHz frequency band, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Agency's press service.
Under the decision made by the Agency's Administration Board, Eventis Mobile must take action to eliminate the circumstances that led to the suspension of the license and notify the Agency of the steps taken within 10 days of the expiration of the two-month period.
The company was also asked to make maximum effort to amicably deal with the complaints about the halt in services and help the subscribers to transfer to other GSM service providers.
Earlier, the Agency carried out inspections at Eventis Mobile to see how it complied with the conditions of the licenses and protected the rights of the end-users. During the last inspection in December last year, it was established that the company did not honor its obligations to ensure a coverage rate of 60% by the end of 2009 and set up at least 340 basic stations. The carrier was warned to remove the identified shortcomings and asked to present a plan of action for overcoming the situation.
The company's administration did not comply, arguing that it does not have the financial resources needed to ensure the quality and continuity of the services provided by it.
IM Eventis Mobile SRL received a license to provide mobile phone services on December 26, 2006. It started to furnish services on December 21, 2007. According to the statistical report submitted by the company to the ANRCETI, on December 31, 2009 it had more than 11,800 subscribers. The carrier's turnover in 2009 was 7.5 million lei.
