Poland lends US$15m to Moldova to support budget

"The signing of the joint statement between the Governments of Moldova and Poland was an important result for us as Poland pledged to help Moldova in its European integration efforts," Filat said.
According to the Premier, the ministers who formed part of the Moldovan delegation had a number of meetings with their Polish counterparts. Minister of Construction and Regional Development Marcel Raducanu and the Polish Construction Minister signed a memorandum on regional cooperation between Poland and Moldova. Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentin Buliga agreed with the Polish colleagues to exchange experience in the area of social assistance and retirement.
Vlad Filat also said that Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Valeriu Cosarciuc and Polish officials agreed to hold the Moldovan wine and cognac week in Warsaw in June, while Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Anatol Salaru discussed possible bilateral projects that could be implemented with European funds.
The Moldovan delegation paid the visit to Warsaw at the invitation of the Polish Premier Donald Tusk. While in Poland, Filat met with Polish President Lech Kaczynski and the Marshal of the Polish Senate Bogdan Borusewicz.
