Moldovan Communist Party is selling its new office in Chisinau center

The Moldovan Communist Party is selling its new office just built in the heart of Chisinau, the party's chairman, ex-president of Moldova Vladimir Voronin announced at the news conference.

He said the splendid edifice was built on borrowed means, and the party must refund the bank loan soon, so it is looking for a buyer.

"We are ready to sell it straightaway, maybe to be used as an embassy", Voronin said.

Reviewing the results of the governing majority's work, he remarked that over last half-year or so, the Parliament has not passed even a single law on implementing European Union standards in Moldova.

"I see Ghimpu coming to his job not earlier than five minutes to ten every morning. When I was president, I began my workdays at 7am - all the 8 years. Ghimpu does not simply goes to his job so late - he visits hospital every second day because he suffers headaches", Voronin said, and reminded that the MCP parliamentary faction had proposed not very long ago to start systematic, mandatory medical checks of the health of all high-ranked civil servants in Moldova.
