Representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office told Infotag that the data of the auditing report by the Audit Chamber on the extraction of mineral resources by this state enterprise in 2007-2008, served as a pretext for this.

In particular, the port extracted from the Prut and Dniester 186.4 thousand tons of sand, 146 thousand tons out of this volume was sold the only economic entity for 7 million lei. And the latter one, as it was cleared out, re-sold this sand to other physical and juridical persons and received a profit in the amount of 2 million lei.

The Prosecutors consider that due to neglect of his duties by the enterprise administrator, who had to provide the activities and the reasonable use of the property, the port lost at least 2 million lei.

The negligent administrator may be sentenced from two to six years, or a fine in the amount of 6-16 thousand lei may be imposed on him.
