Gagauzia police to receive assistance from turkish colleagues

The graduates of the Gagauz lyceums will be able to study at the Turkish Police Academy. The respective agreement was reached at a meeting between Gagauz Bashkan Mihail Formuzal and the delegation of the Turkish Ministry of Interior.

According to the press service of the Gagauz Bashkan, the delegation arrived in accordance with cooperation program, owing to which Gagauzia receive active assistance in the spheres of education, health and social protection.

At the present stage, the sides considered the issue of the Turkish side's assistance to the law and order authorities of the Gagauz autonomy, in particular, for the training of policemen in Turkey, technical equipment for police commissariats, where the guests paid a study visit.

In May the Comrat delegation will visit Ankara for the signing of respective agreements. The assistance, which is rendered during a number of years by Turkey to Gagauzia, is virtually gratuitous.
