he challenge was filed by Communist MPs Maria Postoiko and Vadim Misin, Info-Prim Neo reports.

The Communist faction does not agree with the provision that the legislative body can be dissolved one year after the last dissolution, in the given case after June 16.

The authors of the challenge say the term in office of the caretaker head of state was extended groundlessly.

"The acting President is a volatile and imprudent politician," it is said in the challenge.

The case will be presented by judge Elena Safaleru.

The Parliament failed to elect the President of Moldova two times after the 2009 legislative elections. Acting President Mihai Ghimpu is to dissolve the legislative body and announce new elections.
