The consumer information week forms part of the events that will be held to celebrate the Wold Consumer Rights Day, which is marked on March 15. It is organized with support from the EU-funded technical assistance project "Support to the Implementation of the Agreement between Moldova and the EU."

The Ministry of Economy says the week will include information and consultation meetings of consumers and economic entities operating in the country's districts. Information points will be set up in several shopping centers in Chisinau. There will be distributed about 2,000 brochures titled "Consumer's Guidebook" that were issued with the support of the aforementioned project.
