2009-06-19/14:52/ Chisinau (IPN) “Nothing will change, everything stays the same”, responded Tarlev's aide when asked if the former prime minister would participate again in the repeat parliamentary elections, and in what role.

After the Supreme Court invalidated the election of Vasile Tarlev as the MCU's president, the party will have to renounce to the brand “Tarlev”in the upcoming campaign, said Mihai Petrache, the vice president of the MCU.

However, Petrache failed to give a straight answer to the question of whether Tarlev would be included in the MCU's ticket for the 29 July polls. “The list is going to be approved at the MCU's political board on Saturday”, he replied.

Vasile Tarlev could not be reached by telephone to co mment. His aide said Tarlev was on a trip abroad and would be back next week.
