Government to support agricultural producers

Agricultural producers will receive financial assistance for the harvesting campaign.

Chisinau, June 30 ( INFOTAG ).  At its sitting on Monday the Cabinet of Ministers took a special decision on the free allocation of material values. Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Anatol Gorodenco said that the matter is of the distribution of 9.5 thousand tons of diesel, received from Russia, as humanitarian aid.


In his words, agricultural producers, which have more than 50 ha of lands under spring crops, will receive 10 liters of diesel per a hectare. The minister said that a part of diesel will be sold and the earned money will be used to repay a part of the debts of agriculturists, who have more than 50 hectares of agricultural lands.

The local public administrations must make up within five days the list of beneficiaries, to approve them at the raion councils. After this the ministry will approve these lists within two days.

When asked by journalists, why Russia's humanitarian aid is distributed only now, if it was received several months ago, Gorodenco said that it was decided to grant this assistance exactly at the beginning of the harvesting season.

GOVERNMENT TO RENDER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS OF POURING RAINS

Chisinau, June 30 ( INFOTAG ). The government will render financial assistance in the amount of 2 million lei (US$180 thousand) to set off the consequences of the pouring rains of June 23-25. It approved such decision at its sitting on Monday. Director of the Agency of State Reserves Ion Turcanu remarked that the Nisporeni, the Drochia the Singerei, the Ocnita and Dondiuseni raions suffered most of all from rains with hail and wind.

In his words, all in all, 24 thousand of slate sheets, about 50 thousand of cubic meters of building materials and 3.6 thousand square meters of glass will be allocated from the state reserve for this purpose. According to the preliminary estimate, the Tarigrad village of the Drochia raion suffered most of all. The rain destroyed about 11 thousand slate sheets on 1.2 thousand dwelling houses; it damaged maize, sugar beet and rape fields.
